GAP is thrilled to announce GAP Adaptive. It’s an all-inclusive suite of programs strategically designed to motivate golfers with disabilities. Players receive instructional clinics and participate in adaptive championships. Learn more about the GAP Adaptive Championship here.

But GAP is most proud of its free “No-Limit Clinics.” Along with expert Adaptive Golf instruction, special needs participants are provided with equipment designed to fully engage them in the game of golf.

Building on the success of GAP Adaptive’s No Limit Clinics, the William Flynn Foundation is now also supporting GAP Adaptive Play Days, a new event offering, encouraging adaptive athletes to practice their on-course skills at facilities across the GAP Region. These community-building events give players private golf course access at public golf facilities. Develop your skills without navigating tee time booking and conventional pace of play requirements.

“Adaptive Play Days offer participants a chance to take the next step in their Adaptive Golf journey at their own pace. Players who have previously attended a No Limit Clinic can continue to enjoy the game out on the course at these events.” GAP Chief Operating Officer Mario Machi said. “As GAP’s membership continues to grow, we continue to strive to create programming that engages all golfers.”

Play Days are open to all adaptive golfers. Players must create a Golf Genius account through GAP Adaptive’s registration form to sign up for an event. Registration for each event opens at 8 a.m. on select dates on a first-come, first-serve basis. One non-adaptive player is permitted to register alongside each Adaptive Golfer. Participants are welcome to engage in the playing style of their choosing (i.e. play their own ball, alternate shot, scramble, etc.). Tee times will be assigned once the field is finalized. Pairings will be created based on playing experience and field size. Pairing requests can be arranged by sending an email with the intended pairing to adaptive@gapgolf.org.

Players are responsible for providing their own golf equipment. GAP Adaptive’s SoloRiders can be reserved in advance of each event.

We’re extremely excited about creating opportunities for adaptive golfers in the region. Opening up access to the game for all people goes along with our mission. We can’t wait to bring new individuals into this great game, The No Limit Clinics are a pressure-free way for new or inexperienced golfers to get a chance to swing a club and learn. Our evolution over the past 127 years now includes opportunities for everyone; public golfers, juniors, women and now these inspiring adaptive athletes. We couldn’t be more proud of that.

Mario Machi, GAP Assistant Executive Director

“I encourage you to come. It’s going to be fun.  The No Limit Clinics are going to be community building. GAP Adaptive is not just about the competitiveness of the sport, it’s more about the friendships and the community.”
