The Foundation serves to enrich lives by providing access to the game of golf.
Methods of fundraising include auctioning golf outings at elite private clubs and donations from Foundation Directors, friends of the William Flynn Society, corporate sponsors, and the general public. The Foundation is looking to broaden its outreach as much as possible with target markets in New Jersey, Delaware, New York, Massachusetts, Washington, DC, and Virginia.

The Foundation requires funds to provide internships, scholarships, and host events.
The William Flynn Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization registered in Pennsylvania. The William Flynn Foundation received 501(c)(3) status in September of 2023 and is considered a 509(a)(2) public charity under the IRS guidelines. Donations are tax-deductible.
